Jeff Simmons
Jeff Simmons was born and raised In Dallas, Texas. He discovered his love of music early in life and went on to play snare in the drum corps as well as tympani in the symphonic orchestra in high school. He then went on as lead singer to tour in his rock band around various locations within the United States. He played alongside acts such as Weezer, American Head, Charge, Switched and other national rock performers. Shortly after, he left that scene to follow after his love of writing orchestral music and creating various types of soundtracks and atmospheres.
He began composing for computer games and media as well as providing voice acting to various game projects. With such influences as Jeremy Soule, Howard Shore and James Newton Howard, he has developed his own style of orchestration. His years as an accomplished drummer has helped him to gain an advantage in the ever so important ethnic and dynamic percussion required in todays games and film.
